The PJ's Story: How You Know You're Getting the Best BBQ

This restaurant was born out of a deep love for barbecue. High school sweethearts and elementary school teachers Carolyn and PJ began a small catering business out of their own home. They spent their summer vacations doing barbecues and county fairs, eventually purchasing a seasonal barbecue restaurant while continuing to teach. The business took off, and the two left their teaching careers behind to focus on barbecue.

Over the years Carolyn, PJ, and their son Johnny have gone on several road trips to ensure they're best representing the regional favorites on their menu. This is why when patrons bite into their food they can taste the generations of tradition rooted in American barbecue.
