Just a few minutes outside of Saratoga Springs
makes such a difference, there were no crowds or
waiting lines and it's August (track season).
We chose a table outside under the awning and
reveled in the intimacy that the restaurant
provided. Our waiter was absolutely perfect,
attentive and friendly but not intrusive...a
rare combination, one that comes from
experience. I started with the artichoke and
spinach appetizer and my husband tried the
eggplant, both were exceptional. The eggplant
was unique and spicy and the artichoke dip was
made of fresh spinach and very addicting.
Next we were served warm bread and butter with
our salads... it's amazing
to me how few restaurants serve warm bread. It's
the little details that make a dining experience
great... this is just one of many ways where
the Lake Ridge restaurant exceeds. All of our
courses were served in perfect timing, not
rushed and not slow, just right. I ordered the
Filet Mignon - grilled and finished with a
peppercorn red wine reduction sauce and goat
cheese. It was one of the best filets that I
have ever had. My husband tried the venison and
lamb chop special which was finished in a sweet
reduction sauce and it was amazing! We truly
enjoyed our dining experience at the Lake Ridge
- it warrants the high ratings and accolades and
awards they have received.
