Ideal for a quiet romantic evening - formal
dining The Inn at Saratoga is
conveniently located right on Broadway in
beautiful Saratoga. The moment we sat down at
our table for two, we were impressed by the
quiet ambiance. The combination of the cozy
fire, the rich warm colors of the room and the
high ceilings sets the stage for romantic
dining. After bringing our drink order, the
waitress brought over warm bread and butter. We
ordered the crab cakes with dijon sauce and the
lobster bisque for our appetizers, we both were
quite impressed, they were absolutely
wonderful.
After dinner salads my husband's New Zealand
Rack of Lamb was served, it was grilled
perfectly and served with a delicious rosemary
bread pudding and drizzled with a Cabernet demi
glace.
I ordered the jumbo shrimp and sea scallops
with roasted bell peppers, leeks, tomatoes and
fresh basil, served in a garlic white wine olive
oil sauce over linguini - which was very good.
Their formal dining room has a fireplace and low
lights which are ideal for romance, or just an
enjoyable evening with friends or family. They
have a separate bar area which is ideal for a
quick drink before dinner. Their menu offers
both full dinner meals and light fare. The food
is delicious - and don't leave without dessert!
This is not the best choice for children
although they are welcome. While we were there,
there was a very well behaved 5 year old dining
with her parents, which was very appropriate
(I'm not sure, I'd bring my 3 year old).
